Labor

The core of the Interstate 580/680 Corridor encompasses the San Francisco Bay Area suburban communities of Pleasanton, San Ramon, Livermore, Dublin, Danville and Alamo. This corridor has had one of the most rapidly growing supplies of high quality labor of any employment center in the Bay Area, and the area surrounding Hacienda has one of the largest labor supplies of any employment center in the Bay Area.

Proximate Talent

Hacienda's employers can draw on this wide area to find talented employees, and labor is well supplied to Hacienda employers by the surrounding local housing stock. Furthermore, Hacienda's unique location means that it is the only major Bay Area development that can easily tap into the rapidly growing housing supply of Eastern Contra Costa County and the Central Valley. This gives employers the opportunity to offer employees a premier work location with a wide variety of housing.

The area's labor pool is outstanding in other ways as well. The workforce in Hacienda and Pleasanton is among the most educated in the country, with nearly 80 percent of residents having attended college. Over 60 percent of residents have a college degree. Alameda County, home to the University of California at Berkeley as well as several other fine educational institutions, has an educated population as well with over 60 percent of residents having attended college.

Highly Educated Workforce

The area's high level of education translates to the kind of expertise that's valuable in the workplace. Over 60 percent of Pleasanton households report an annual income of over $75,000. Similarly, over 60 percent of Alameda County's population reports household incomes of over $50,000, reflecting a broad spectrum of jobs and economic opportunities. Nearly 25 percent of Alameda County residents are between the ages of 20 and 34; perfect for meeting the personnel needs of the area's growing businesses.
